Caribou Fire and Ambulance Department goes beyond responding to fires and medical emergencies. A number of members are specially trained as members of the Rescue Team. The Rescue Team responds to a number of emergency events, utilizing training in:

- Vehicle Extrication (Jaws of Life)
- Low Angle Rescue
- Confined Space Rescue
- Cold Water Rescue
- Snowmobile, Rescue Boggin
- Off Public Way, Four-Wheeler (In conjuction with Caribou PD).
